Spring is a short 7 minute computer animated film, released in April 2019 about a young shepard and her dog confronting ancient spirits. Created by the Blender Institute which is part of the Blender Foundation.
The purpose of creating the film was to test Blender 2.8's capabilities before its official release. Like the Blender Animation Studios' other previous films, the film was made using Blender, a free and open source software application for animation, created and supported by the Blender Foundation.
The film was funded by the Blender Foundation, and donations from the Blender community.. The film itself and any material made in the studio are released under the Creative Commons Attribution License.
